Here’s an update.  The artists and crafters are coming to Dei-Zinz’ in preparation for our launch party on November 10.  Hope you plan to come to see all the new offerings, listen to live music, partake of snacks and drink and enjoy your neighbor’s company.  Get a massage and support a charity auction.  Plus, a portion of all sales goes to support bunny rescue.  Watch the newspaper for details.  Until then, here’s a sample of the new artists’ wares.  Hope you enjoy.

Hi, All.

This is just a little early notice of something really exciting happening at Dei-Zinz’ in November and you are all invited.  If you’ve been visiting us at our store, on our website, on facebook or at one of several blogs, you know that we specialize in silk floral for the home and office, providing custom silk trees and flower arrangements and, of course, related in home design services.

Starting in November, you’ll find much more, though.  We are teaming with a number of local artists and crafters to bring you a wide array of decorating accessories including wall art, recycled art, wood art and tables, candles and candle holders.  And, we will offer personal items, as well, including specialty scarves and several lines of custom jewelry.

And we’re having a party to get it started.  Watch for details in the days to come.

Dei-Zinz and our business associates at 7848 E. Redfield have been sponsoring and holding a Charity Bar BQ each month.  We have sent fliers and notices of these events through email and posted them on our website.  We wish to Thank each and every one of you who have attended these events and for your support.   Small business have had 2 very rough years so we all decided we should try and help those who are less fortunate than us.  All expenses of the Bar BQ’s are paid by the businesses so that all of the funds raised go to the charity chosen for that month.  Over the last 5 months we have accomplished the following:

Singleton Moms:  A non-profit that aids single mothers with cancer:  Over $900.00

Phoenix Rescue Mission:  Aids the homeless and substance abusers:  Over $600.00

Troops in Afghanistan:  Raised over $900.00 and used the funds to pack and ship 24 boxes at Christmas for a platoon of troops in Afghanistan

The Sydney Hudson Foundation:  A non-profit that aids terminally ill handicapped children:  Over $700.00

Last month we raised $1500.00 to be split between the families of the two recent officers slain in the line of duty.  On Tuesday of this week we presented Commander Fixel of the Gilbert Police Department a check for the family of Officer Eric Shuhandler, killed in January, for $750.00 and on Thursday we presented Mrs. Marano, the wife of DPS Officer Marano killed in December, 09, a check for $750.00.

We are very proud of how our simple Bar BQ of hot dogs&bratwurst has grown and how much we have accomplished.  Attached via link below is a flier of our next fund raiser on Friday, March 26th.  Since I have a daughter and a granddaughter, this month’s issue is very alarming to me.  All of us hope that you will read the attached flier and visit the website of Streetlightphx.com.  Exploitation of young girls and children is growing at an alarming rate and should concern all of us. If you can, please join us on March 26th between 11:00-1:30 for great Brats, Hot Dogs, Cookies, Drinks, and all the Trimmings and some wonderful conversations, all for a small donation (whatever you can afford).  We would love to see you and WE EXTENDED OUR 32% OFF EVERYTHING ANNIVERSARY SALE THROUGH THE 26TH to coincide with the fund raiser.
